Company: Jardis Industries Inc., a privately held manufacturer of automation and control machinery for the web printing industry, seeks to grow its technical team with the addition of a degreed mechanical engineer.

Position Title: Mechanical Design/Manufacturing Engineer

Education Required: Associate or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Primary Duties:
• Mechanical design engineering of machinery.
• Production and Application Mechanical Engineering for standard machinery,
• Custom engineering solutions for special machinery applications,
• General arrangement and assembly layouts of machinery,
• Apply the directives of CE and UL as needed during the design process,
• Interface with the client’s engineering and management personnel,
• Timely preparation of drawings and parts lists for procurement and manufacturing departments,
• Assist Customer Service Group to trouble shoot previously sold machinery via phone and on site,
• Upgrades and/or cost reduction of current designs,
• Produce proposal drawings for sales department as needed.
• Travel as needed to customer facilities to access project requirements, gather project data. Valid passport and drivers license required,

Knowledge and Skills:
• Work in a fast paced environment which may require responding to breakdowns or defined machinery startup deadlines,
• Computer literacy in PC base applications including Windows, AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel are essential,
• Experience and expertise in the processes of fabrication, welding, machining, QA, inspection, etc., are essential,
• Prior experience working at full assembly shop with light fabrication capabilities a plus,
• Excellent communication and organizational skills,
• Good problem resolution skills and ability to follow through,
• Experience with CE Safety Directives a plus,
• Background in the printing industry including knowledge of newspaper and commercial printing formats a plus,


Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and is based on a standard 40 hour work week in an office environment, with business purpose travel as needed.
